EuroNanoForum 2021 fuels the discussion around moving towards sustainable and smart mobility

The EuroNanoForum 2021 is the major European event on Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials, and it has traditionally a huge responsibility in fostering the discussion around what needs to be done, as well as about what must be the role of nano-enabled solutions.

It is already a given that the technology leaps we need will not be achieved with the solutions we already know. That is why Nanotechnology is important because it is one of the main key enabling technologies and it has been working on the new solutions that Europe in particular needs to achieve its objectives and be competitive.

A clear commitment of the European Green Deal is that “transport should become drastically less polluting”, highlighting, in particular, the urgent need to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, but also pollution in general and the use of non-circular approaches in the value chains.

Considering the role that daily mobility plays for citizens as well as for issues such as climate change, air pollution, quality of urban life, social cohesion, and health, it is clear that the challenges posed by mobility need to be tackled in a multi-dimensional approach including, among others, ramping-up the production and deployment of sustainable and alternative transport fuels, materials, digitalization, and automation, as well as advanced materials.

Smart mobility is a new and revolutionary way of thinking about how we get around — one that is cleaner, safer, and more efficient. It’s a key part of the emergence of smart cities strategy.

Join us at the EuroNanoForum and let’s initiate together an approach to the Horizon Europe climate-neutral and smart cities mission area. The event is approaching but you are still able to join! Registration is FREE but mandatory, and we are waiting for you!
