Summer School on Materials for Energy Transition between 7-9 of September 2022

The Portuguese Society of Materials and its Technical Division of Materials for Energy, the Order of Engineers, through its College of Materials Engineering and its Specialization in Energy, and the General Directorate of Energy and Geology, are organizing between 7-9 of September 2022 a Summer School on Materials for Energy Transition with unique sessions that will discuss the current problem of the energy transition and the indispensable contribution of materials.

The main topics will be focused on:

  • Hydrogen and Renewable Gases

  • Photovoltaics

  • Batteries

  • Topics Transversal to Energy

Among the various topics identified in the energy sector, education and new skills and the creation of national value chains have generally been identified as situations for improvement and will be discussed.

The Summer School on Materials for Energy Transition is open to students and young scientists interested in deepening their knowledge in the development of materials for energy, in particular in the area of ​​photovoltaic technology, batteries and renewable gases. You can also present your work by submitting your abstract and prizes will be distributed to the best poster by topic at the end of Summer School.
